Jobsite Clock
Privacy policy
Last updated October 22, 2026
Jobsite Clock is a time clock for companies with crews in the field. This policy explains what it records, who can see it, and what we do with it. "We" means [Company legal name]. "Company" means the employer that uses Jobsite Clock. "Worker" means anyone the company adds to clock in.
If you're a worker
- Your location is recorded only at the moment you clock in, clock out, or switch jobsites. Jobsite Clock does not track you between punches, in the background, or when you're off the clock. It can't: it only asks your phone for a location when you press the button.
- Each punch saves your coordinates, how accurate your phone said they were, how far you were from the jobsite, the time, and the network address the punch came from.
- Your employer's managers can see that information and your hours. Other workers can't.
- Your records belong to your employer. For a copy or a correction, ask them. If you contact us, we'll pass your request on.
What we hold
- Time records: every shift, its jobsite, punch times, breaks, notes, and every change a manager made, with their name and reason.
- Punch locations as described above.
- People: names, emails, phone numbers, employee numbers, titles, what each person is allowed to do, overtime rules, and pay rates if the company enters them.
- Jobsites: names, job numbers, addresses and location pins.
- Sign-in records: passwords are stored only as a scrambled one-way hash we can't read.
- Payment records: handled by Stripe. We never see card numbers.
How it's used
Only to run the service for the company: recording time, calculating hours and overtime, showing managers where punches happened, sending sign-in links and alerts, and support when the company asks. We don't sell information, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or use it to train AI models.
Companies that help run the service
- Render, for hosting the application and its database (United States).
- Postmark, for email. It sees email addresses and message text.
- Stripe, for payments.
Map links open Google Maps in your browser. Jobsite Clock doesn't send locations to Google or anyone else on its own.
How it's protected
- All connections use HTTPS.
- Every request is checked against the company the person belongs to. One company can never see another's records.
- Each person only sees what their permissions allow.
- Punch locations can't be edited by anyone, including managers.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn someone got into a company's records without permission, we'll tell that company within 72 hours of confirming it.
How long it's kept
Records stay until the company closes its account. Federal law requires employers to keep time records for at least 2 years, so the company should download its reports before closing. If a subscription is canceled, records are kept 60 days, then deleted. Deleted information leaves backups as they expire, within 30 more days.
Changes
If we change how information is handled, we'll email company owners at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
